Incofin Microfinance Fund was founded in 1992 as a cooperative with social purpose. As a social investment company, Incofin invests in microfinance institutions in emerging economies. These institutions provide so-called “micro-credits” to self-employed start-ups and small businesses so that they have a chance to improve their living conditions. Thanks to such loans, enterprising people, who cannot turn to traditional banks locally due to lack of guarantee or fixed income, can still build their business and thus break the vicious cycle of poverty. Incofin thus contributes to sustainable socioeconomic development in emerging economies. Individuals and businesses can actively participate in this through purchasing cooperative shares. More info
